We are an accredited Christian preschool that fosters cognitive, spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and creative growth for the children in our care. Established in 1976 as a community ministry of First Baptist Church of Rockville, The WEE Center also participates in the Maryland Excels program and is rated level 4. Both programs (Accreditation & Excels) are a voluntary process where an external program, in this case, Maryland State Department of Education, carefully reviews/evaluates and publically confirms that we meet high-quality state education standards.

Our Mission

Is to enrich the lives of the children in our care through a curriculum designed to be developmentally appropriate and to promote their cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development. We encourage children to seek answers to their questions, develop problem-solving skills, and think creatively by providing teacher and child initiated activities in a safe, nurturing environment. We have achieved a diverse population and provide an environment where children and families with different cultural backgrounds and home languages feel accepted. We are an inclusive preschool and welcome all children without without disabilities, special needs, and/or delays. Our staff will work with families and outside agencies: such as Infants & Toddlers and Child Find to meet the individual needs of each child.
